Going 8-19 on a season with a play-in game loss is certainly by no means a successful season.
However, when the season previous you went 1-26 with a play-in loss, well, improvement is the name of the game.
Under new head coach Tyler Thompson the Warriors improved dramatically. The players were vocal about how much more fun the season and the team was. The team itself was much more competitive in losses much less the wins.
Plus, they showed signs late of being a team that can win tough ball games. The play-in game did not go their way, that is true. They were much more competitive up and to that point though, than they were the season prior.
Coach Thompson was open about how far this team has to go, but was not shy about saying how far they had come as well.
