Turner Leads White Co. Volleyball Over Warren Co.

The White County Warriors defeated the Warren County Pioneers by a final score of 3-0 on Thursday.

The opening set provided back-and-forth action that didn’t see either team build a big lead, until White Co. pulled away at the end to take the frame by a 25-22 count.

After winning the second set 25-13, White Co. closed out the match by winning another close set by a final score of 25-20.

Senior Lauren Turner led the way with 12 kills, and tied for second on the team with two aces. Lindi Smith led the way in assists, as she racked up 17 total helpers in the win. Caydra Parker finished second with 12 assists of her own.

Smith also finished the match with five kills. Nia Powers added nine kills of her own, while Hannah Sims finished third on the team with six.

White Co. will be back in action on Sept. 23 at Cookeville High School at 6 P.M.
