Week 8 Roundup: Clay Co. Still Perfect; DeKalb Co. Pitches Shutout at Warren Co.

The Clay County Bulldogs moved to 7-0 on the season, and earned their third shutout win of the season in the process, with a 25-0 win at Scott High School in Huntsville, TN, Friday. The Bulldog defense allowed only 96 total yards, while QB Nate Adams threw for 93 yards and a touchdown. Clay County hosts Grundy County (1-5) next Friday, before wrapping up the regular season at York Institute and at Gordonsville, the latter of which will determine the District 4-1A Regular Season Championship.

Meanwhile, the red-hot DeKalb County Tigers blanked border rival Warren County, 28-0, Friday night at Nunley Stadium in McMinnville. The win was the fourth straight for the Tigers (5-2), who got three rushing touchdowns in the game from Colby Barnes.
