Warriors Struggle In Third Quarter, Fall To Coffee Co.

The White County Warriors were locked in a close battle with Coffee County on Monday, but a rough third quarter of offense led to a 57-52 Coffee Co. victory.

After taking a 33-27 lead at halftime, White Co. failed to sustain any offense in the third quarter, and were out-scored 17-6.

The two teams dead-locked the final quarter at 13-13, leading to a 57-52 win for Coffee County.

For the game, the Warriors shot 36.2% from the field and 20% from three.

Junior Grant Slatten led the way in scoring for the third straight game, as he put up 23 points on 8-18 shooting. Just like the rest of the team however, he struggled from three and made only one of his seven attempts.

Masyn Winningham was the only other player to finish in double-digits, as he scored 11 points on 3-13 shooting.

The Warriors’ next game will take place in Sparta on Tuesday when they host DeKalb County.
