Warriors Fall To Macon County At Home

The White County Warriors (5-4) struggle with Macon County’s Wing T offense in their 48-13 loss Friday night in Sparta.

Macon County jumped out to a 27-0 lead before the Warriors got on the scoreboard.

White County’s Malaki Dowell scored from seven-yards out with 7:03 to play in the third quarter.

Nate Mullins took a kickoff back 99-yards to pay dirt with 3:55 to play in the final quarter for the Warriors.

Macon County scored on seven trips to the red zone opposed to White County’s one trip.

The Tigers also held White County to 2-11 on third down and 1-5 on fourth down.

Senior quarterback Sydryk Leftwich completed 4/12 pass attempts for 36 yards and he ran the ball 13 times for 33 yards.

Jayden Richmond carried the ball 13 times for 42 yards.

White County plays their final home game of the season next week at home against Goodpasture Friday night in Sparta at 7 P.M.
