The Warren County Pioneers boys basketball team held DeKalb County, to 15 first half points on their way to a 63 to 42 victory over the Tigers Monday night in McMinnville.
Warren County outscored DeKalb County in each of the four quarters. A 21 point third quarter for the Pioneers put the game away.
Aiden Cummings led Warren County in points with 14. Teammate CJ Taylor followed closely with 13 points of his own. Lacedric Cox rounded out Warren County’s double digit scorers with 11 points.
Dallas Cook and Nathaniel Crook each scored nine points for the Tigers.
The win puts Warren County two games above .500 for the season at 12-10, 2-2. The Pioneers host White County Friday night in McMinnville.
DeKalb County travels to Overton County as they face Livingston Academy Tuesday night. The loss drops the Tigers to 6-14, 3-5 on the year.
