Upperman Withstands Slow Start To Defeat Lady Tigers

The Upperman Lady Bees got off to a slow start on offense on Friday, but overcame it in the second half to defeat DeKalb County 61-39.

Reagan Hurst led all scorers with a game-high 19 points, and she added three assists and two steals in the effort. Torie Brooks added 17 points, five steals and knocked down multiple crucial threes in the third-quarter run.

Brooklyn Crouch added 12 points and five steals of her own.

Kadee Ferrell led DeKalb with 16 points, while Megan Walker scored eight.

Upperman’s next game will be on Feb. 11 when they play Cannon County, while DeKalb will be at Macon County.
