Bees Dominate Grundy Co. In Baxter

The Upperman Bees (7-1) won their eighth game of the year in dominant fashion, as they defeated the Grundy County Yellow Jackets by a final score of 42-0.

It’s the second consecutive shutout for the Bees, as they also held York Institute scoreless two weeks ago in Jamestown.

Upperman opened the scoring with a 13-yard run from Ty Dutchess, and that was just the beginning of a big night for him.

After the defense held the Jackets to a three-and-out, Quarterback Donovan McCallister added to the lead with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Mtezgar that rant the lead to 14-0.

McCallister found Metzgar again, this time on a 25-yard catch-and-run that put the lead at 21-0.

Dutchess carried the rest of the scoring from there, as he put together scoring runs of 64, 57 and 80 yards to run the score to its final tally of 42-0.

For the game, Dutchess compiled 261 total yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries.

McCallister finished the game 4-8 passing for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Upperman will be back in action next week when they host Watertown at 7 P.M.
