Upperman, Clay Co, Jackson Co Open Play At Small Class State Tournament

Three UC Sports Nation teams took part in the opening round of the Small Class State Tournament on Tuesday.

The Clay County Bulldogs are currently tied for seventh overall, and are being led by Aden Smith’s 95. Zach Schmucker shot a 98 and Jeffery Spivey added a 99.

Individually for the boys, Upperman’s Cason Mayberry and Drew Ramsey each took part, with Mayberry firing in an 87. Ramsey finished the day with a 91.

On the girls side, the Lady Bees are currently in eighth place and are led by Emaline Anderson’s 112.

Jackson County’s Abigail Scoggins competed as an individual and shot a 97 for her first round.
