The District 7-A, 5-AA and 7-AAA baseball tournament brackets have been released. Here’s a breakdown of them all.

District 7-A:

All games will be played at Gordonsville High School as the Tigers are the one seed. A single elimination play in game between #4 Clarkrange and #5 Red Boiling Springs will determine who plays the top seeded Tigers on Monday. On the other side, #2 Clay County takes on #3 Pickett County on Monday. After the play in game, the tournament is double elimination. The District 7-A Championship game will be on Wednesday (and Thursday if needed).

District 5-AA:

Another five team district, however, a much different set up than 7-A. It will begin similarly on Thursday with #4 Bledsoe County taking on #5 Jackson County in a single elimination play in game. The winner of that will take on #1 Sequatchie County in a best of three series played on Friday, Saturday and Monday if needed. #2 York Institute will take on #3 Monterey in the other best of three series. The winners of the two best of three series’ will meet in the 5-AA Championship game on Thursday, May 12th. Games will be hosted at the higher seed.

District 7-AAA:

With there being seven teams in 7-AAA, they’ve decided to split the tournament into two divisions; an east and a west. On the west side, Upperman will host as they are the #1 seed and they will play the winner of #4 Dekalb County and #5 Macon County with double elimination the whole way. On the east side there are four teams, so there is a single elimination play in game between #6 Cumberland County and #7  White County tomorrow. The winner of that game will meet #3 Stone Memorial on Friday when the west moves into double elimination. #2 Livingston will await the winner of #3 Stone Memorial and #6 CC/#7 WC on Saturday. The winner of the east and the west sides will meet for a one game championship next Tuesday at 5:30.

The top two teams from each district will advance to their respective region tournaments which begin Monday, May 16th.
