UCSN Featured: York Baseball’s Nic Smith on Postseason Progression

Last Thursday, the York Institute Dragons baseball team defeated Sequatchie County in the District 5AA Championship 13 to 2. The Dragons added to the momentum by winning their Region 3AA semifinal.

Monday night, York defeated the Smith County Owls 10 runs to none. This game came to an end after 5 innings thanks to the ten run difference, and 15 strikeouts from Dragons’ senior pitcher Nic Smith.

The Dragons baseball team now moves onto the Region 3AA Championship where they will take on the District 6AA Champions – the Watertown Purple Tigers.
