Near the end of April, the Jackson County High School Baseball team held their Senior Night ceremonies. The game that followed held a result that few could have seen coming.
On Tuesday, April 26th, the Jackson County Blue Devils were hosting the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs. By the end of the first inning, the Blue Devils scored seven runs. When final time was called, the final score settled at 31-3 in favor of Jackson County.
The next day, the Blue Devils travelled to Pickett County High School to take on the Bobcats. The final score of that game finished at 22 runs to 3, with Jackson County taking the win.
Over the course of two days, the Jackson County Blue Devils scored 53 runs against their opponents. In this UCSN Feature, junior Blue Devils baseball player Luke Babb recounts the acheivement, tells us what it means to be a part of it, and how it fuels the program moving forward.
