UCSN Featured: Cookeville Cross Country

Last week, the Cookeville Cavaliers’ Girls Cross Country team, and two individual boys competed in the 2021 TSSAA Division I AAA State Cross Country Championships. The races tooke place at Sanders Ferry Parks in Hendersonville, Tennessee on November 4th, 2021.

Emily Coonce finished in 81st place out of 206 individuals with a time of 20:40.40. Elizabeth McReynolds crossed the line after 22:31.20 in 149th place.

Ike Synnestvedt came in 118th place in a pool of 208, his time being 17:44.72. Jacob Sparks earned 172nd place by running a time of 18:43.48.

Before they took the trip to Hendersonville, those Cavalier runners talked with UCSN about their reactions to state qualifying, what they were looking forward to about the race, their favorite moments of the season, and more.
