Tuesday Night Girls Hoops Recap: LA Takes Down Macon County

Livingston Academy 61, Macon County 44

The Livingston Academy Lady Cats earned their first win over Macon County since 2016 with their 17-point win on Tuesday.

The third quarter proved to be the difference-maker, as they outscored the Tigerettes by a 15-5 margin to take a 14-point lead into the final frame.

Aleah Melton led the way with 21 points, while Hailey Cronk scored 12 points. Keaton Webb added 10 points.

The Lady Cats host Watertown on Friday.

Clarkrange 81, Trousdale County 27

The Lady Buffaloes continued their undefeated run through the district with their 81-27 win over Trousdale County.

Addy Stowers led all scorers with 19 points, while Kaylie Monday added 16 points.

The Lady Buffaloes’ next contest will be on Thursday against Cumberland County.

Pickett County 62, Clay County 49

The Lady Bobcats took down Clay County in Byrdstown by a final score of 62-49.

Shayla Wood led the way with 22 points, while Abbi Bilbrey scored 10 points.

Rachel Copass scored 15 points to lead Clay County, while Katie Arms scored 14 points.

Clay County will host Red Boiling Springs on Friday, while Pickett County will take on Jackson County.

DeKalb County 68, Cannon County 39

The Lady Tigers won their second straight game on Tuesday, this one over Cannon County by a final score of 68-39.

Kadee Ferrell and Ella Van Vranken each paced the Lady Tigers with 23 points apiece, while Madison Martin scored 14 points.

DeKalb County will play Livingston on Saturday.

Red Boiling Springs 56, Jackson County 45

The Lady Devils took a loss to to Red Boiling Springs by a final score of 56-45.

Ericka Davidson produced one of her best games of the year with a team-high 19 points, while Jacklyn Agee scored 10 points.

Jackson County will head to Pickett County on Friday.

Stone Memorial 71, Warren County 37

The Lady Panthers got a massive game from Tessa Miller en route to a dominant 71-37 win over Warren County.

Miller scored 32 points to lead all scorers, while Keaton Freitag added nine points.

Kyra Perkins led Warren with eight points.

Stone Memorial will host Cookeville on Friday, and Warren County will host Rhea County.

Upperman 74, Watertown 28

The Lady Bees continued their undefeated season with their dominant win over Watertown.

Brooklyn Crouch and Torie Brooks each scored 20 points to pace the Lady Bees, while Reagan Hurst scored 11 points. Aiyana Levy added 10 points.

Upperman’s next contest will be next Tuesday against Cannon County.

York Institute 54, Smith County 31

The Dragonettes bounced back from their tough loss at Upperman on Friday by defeating Smith County by a final score 54-31.

Haylee Johnson led all scorers with 17 points.

York will take on Livingston Academy on Wednesday night.

White County 50, Cookeville 41

The Warriorettes avenged an earlier season loss to the Lady Cavs with a nine-point win in Cookeville on Tuesday.

Gracie Dodgen and Mia Murray each scored 12 points for White County, while Nia Powers added 10 points.

Jordan Gillies led all scorers with 16 points, with KK Graves close behind with 13. Cassie Gallagher added 10 points.

Cookeville will be at Stone Memorial on Friday, while White County will host McMinn County on Saturday.
