Tigers Defeat Cannon Co. Football On Homecoming

The DeKalb County Tigers (3-3) held their ground at home by defeating Cannon County by a final score of 41-10.

Colby Barnes got the Tigers on the board in the first quarter, when he took the ball into the end zone from four yards out to give DCHS a 7-0 lead.

The Tigers piled onto the lead with a one-yard run from Dylan Denson in the second quarter, running the score up to 14-o. Quarterback Axel Aldino scored on an eight-yard run of his own to put the score at 21-0 in favor of the Tigers.

DeKalb scored one more time before the halftime break, as Aldino threw a touchdown pass to Alan Munoz from ten yards out to run the lead to 27-0 heading into the locker room.

After Desmond Nokes returned the second half kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown, Barnes added his second score of the game and recorded the final points of the night for DeKalb in a 41-10 win.

DeKalb will head to Livingston to take on the Wildcats next week at 7 P.M.
