Tigerettes Fall In First Two Games On Friday

The DeKalb County Tigerettes opened their season with two losses on Friday, falling 4-1 to Kingston and 6-1 to Heritage.

In game one, both teams were sloppy in the field as six total errors were committed. The Tigerettes committed four of them, and it hurt starting pitcher Ellie Cripps. Three of the four runs she gave up were unearned, and she struck out four batters over her four innings of work.

At the plate, Cripps, Emme Colwell and Morgan Walker registered DeKalb’s three hits for the game.

Game two once again saw some defensive miscues for DeKalb, as starting pitcher Emma Johnson only gave up two unearned runs in her two innings of work. She struck out one and walked two.

Emme Colwell entered the game in the third, and struggled in her lone inning of work. She gave up four runs (three earned), and the game ended with a 6-1 defeat for the Tigerettes.

Walker notched two hits at the plate, and drove in DeKalb’s lone run in the game.
