Tiger Basketball Struggles Early, Falls To Watertown
The DeKalb County Tigers got off to a really slow start on offense on Friday, as they fell by a final score of 67-60 against Watertown.
Watertown scored the first 10 points of the game, and they held the Tigers to only nine first-quarter points to take a seven-point advantage into the second quarter. After both offenses struggled to score in the frame, Watertown added a single point to their lead and took a 24-16 lead into the locker room.
DeKalb had their best quarter of the night in the third, as they out-scored the Purple Tigers 26-21 to cut the deficit down to three heading into the final frame. It wouldn’t be enough however, as Watertown edged out the Tigers by a final score of 67-60.
DeKalb’s next game will be on Saturday, as they travel to Cookeville.
