The Lady Devils closed their regular season slate out with a 46-34 win over Cascade.

Jackson County’s defense was on full display in the first half, as they held Cascade to a mere 11 first-half points. This allowed the Lady Devils to take a 23-11 lead into the halftime break.

Cascade cut the lead down to 31-25 at the end of the third quarter, but Jackson County closed the game out with a 15-9 fourth to earn the win.

Lilly Chaffin led the effort with a team-high 12 points, and Riley Thomas added 11 of her own.

Livingston Academy 58, Cannon County 46

The Lady Cats bounced back from a tough loss to York on Tuesday with a 12-point win over Cannon County on Thursday.

LA held a seven-point lead through three quarters, and they added to the lead with a 16-11 scoring advantage in the final frame to close the season with a win.

Aleah Melton led the way with a game-high 25 points, while Alexis Phipps scored 10 points. Keaton Webb finished just shy of double figures with nine points.

Macon County 62, Upperman 57

The Macon County Tigerettes ended the Lady Bees’ undefeated streak to open the season with a 62-57 win on Thursday.

Brooklyn Crouch led the Lady Bees with 19 points, while Aiyana Levy and Abigail Johnson each scored 13 points.

The Lady Bees still hold the top overall seed, meaning they will get an automatic berth in the region tournament.
