This Week In Golf Across UC Sports Nation

Golf season is nearing its end across the great state of Tennessee this week. Our 1A teams will begin the State Tournament at WillowBrook Golf Club in Manchester.

The Clay County boys and Upperman girls teams will compete on Tuesday. Two Upperman boys golfers, Cason Mayberry and Drew Ramsey will also compete on the individual side of the tournament. Jackson County’s Abigail Scoggins will also make the trip down to WillowBrook as a freshman.

All teams and individual golfers will take to the course Monday for a practice round.

Both Cookeville boy’s and girl’s golf teams won their district tournaments last week at the Golden Eagle Country Club. They will compete for a chance at to go to state on Tuesday in their region tournament in Cleveland. White County’s Jarrett Glass and Warren County’s Lauren Slatten both advanced to the region tournament on the individual level.
