Taylor Dominant In Pioneers Victory Over Ooltewah

Warren County beat Ooltewah in the region quarterfinals 66 to 54, Saturday night in McMinnville.

The Pioneers held Ooltewah to four, first quarter points to put a choke hold on the game early. Ooltewah never drew closer than 12 points at the end of any quarter on the night.

Warren County connected on 13 of their 20 free throw attempts on the night. The Pioneers also hit seven three pointers against the Owls.

Warren County junior, CJ Taylor continued his hot streak with a game high 29 points. Taylor scored 10 of his 29, in the fourth quarter to put the game away. In the fourth quarter Taylor hit six of seven free throw attempts.

Lacerdic Cox added in 14 points for the Pioneers and Aiden Cummings rounded out the double digit scorers with 10 points.

Warren county advances to the region semi-finals to take on Cleveland, who’s been the top rated team in Class 3A for most of the season. Tip off is scheduled for 7:45 , Tuesday night in Sparta.
