Summer Rewind: X’s & O’s: Upperman Football to Host Round 2 vs. DeKalb Co.
As the summer rolls on, UCSN takes a back at the 2021-22 school year and sport seasons. In this series, we find our most viewed video from each school this year, and reflect on the time of the school sports calendar from when the video was first posted.
Today, we rewind on the Upperman High School Bees football team.
When this video was posted, the Bees were one week into their 2021 postseason campaign that would eventually lead to the 4A State Semifinal. Coming off a 46-7 victory over the Soddy Daisy Trojans, the Bees had their focus set on their next playoff opponent – the DeKalb County Tigers. In the week before the Bees vs. Tigers matchup, we talked to the 2021-22 senior football players about their mindset heading into that game and postseason games in general.

Here in the second round of the TSSAA 2021 Football Playoffs, the Upperman High School Bees are set to host the DeKalb County Tigers. These two teams met less than a month ago in DeKalb County, where the Bees came away with a 24-14 win.
Ahead of Friday’s game between the Bees vs. Tigers, hear from the Bees about what went into their first win against DeKalb, how the previous game affects this one, and what they want to happen this time.
