Strong Named MVP Among Other Bulldogs Awards

Clay County Junior and Class A Mr. Basketball Finalist Grant Strong was named the District 6-A Most Valuable Player, as he was just one of many Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs honored with awards.

Head Coach Rob Edwards was named the District Coach of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to a 21-2 record and a 14-0 district record.

Lone Bulldog Senior Gunnar Silk was named to the All-District Second Team, as well as the Defensive MVP winner, while Jeffery Spivey was named to the Third Team.

Keaton Arms and Eli Smith were both given Honorable Mention nods, and Smith was also named to the All-Defensive Team.

For the Lady Bulldogs, Katie Arms and Rachel Copass were each named to the All-District First Team, and Copass was also given a spot on the All-Defensive Team.

Briley Burchett was awarded a Second Team nod, and Bella Ashlock was named the All-Freshman Team MVP. Ashlock was also an All-District Honorable Mention. Halle Buford joined Ashlock on the All-Freshman Team.
