Slow First-Half Leads To Defeat For Lady Bulldogs
The Clay County Lady Bulldogs got off to a slow start in Tuesday’s home game against Macon County, and it led to a 68-51 defeat for Clay County.
After Macon took an 18-9 lead at the end of one, they added to the lead even further by out-scoring Clay 26-13. That added up to 44-22 lead at halftime.
While Clay County somewhat got on a roll in the second half, it wouldn’t be enough as they fell to Macon County by a final score of 68-51.
Rachel Copass and Brinley Burchett tied for team-high honors in scoring, as they scored 15 points apiece.
Clay County will be back in action on Dec. 7 when they travel to take on Clarkrange.
