Slatten’s Big Effort Leads Warriors To Win Over Hixson

The White County Warriors opened their 2019-20 campaign with a bang, as they defeated Hixson at home by a final score of 86-50.

Junior Grant Slatten led the offensive charge, as he scored 37 points on 12-19 shooting from the field and 9-10 shooting from the free-throw line.

His play allowed the Warriors to grab a lead early and it grew to as much as 49 points at one point.

Tanner Paul added 11 points and made all five of his shot attempts, and Masyn Winningham scored 13 to round out the trio of double digit scorers.

The Warriors’ next game will be on Friday night at home, as they take on McMinn County.
