Monterey’s girls basketball team dropped a close game to Gordonsville, Friday night, by final score of 72 to 64.
In the first, third and fourth quarters each team scored a total of 54 points. The Lady Wildcats were outscored 18 to 10 in the second quarter and were not able t make it up.
Lindsey Wright scored a team high 18 points for Monterey and Anna Hudson added 12 points of her own.
Gordonsville hit 22 of 25 free throw attempts compared to Monterey who hit three of their six attempts.
Monterey will play again next Tuesday night at home against Trousdale County.
