Clarkrange 72, Fayetteville 37
The Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes were the first team to punch their ticket to Murfreesboro on Saturday with their 72-37 win over Fayetteville.
After leading 19-12 at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Buffaloes spread out the lead with a 22-5 run in the second. This added up to a 41-17 lead at the break.
An 18-9 run in the third quarter increased the lead further, as Clarkrange cruised to the dominant substate victory.
Kassie Monday led all scorers with 24 points, while Kaylie Monday added 15. Chloe Howard scored 12 points of her own.
Clay County 60, Huntland 53
Meigs County 47, York Institute 38
The Dragonettes fell just short in their substate game on Saturday, falling to Meigs County by a final score of 47-38.
With the game sitting at 29-28 in favor of Meigs after three quarters, York was outscored 18-10 in the final frame, thus ending their season.
Haylee Johnson led all scorers with 25 points in her final game in a Dragonette uniform, while Mikaela Reagan scored five points.
