Pioneers Season Ends In Region Semi Finals Against Cleveland

Warren County saw their season come to an end, Tuesday night in Sparta, against Cleveland 51 to 31, in the region semifinal game.

The game was knotted up at 11 after the first quarter. Cleveland locked things down defensively, as the Pioneers could only manage 10 total points over the second and third quarters.

Neither team could find much of an advantage at the free throw line or  from three for the night. Each team only connected on three shots from behind the three point line. Warren County hit seven of their 11 free throw attempts while Cleveland hit eight of their 12 tries.

CJ Taylor scored a team high eight points for Warren County. Senior, Lacedric Cox added seven points and D’Lano Spates scored six points of his own. Aiden Cummings, Irving Espinoza, and Hunter Chance all scored three points.

The Pioneers finish the season 20-12 and 5-3 on the season. Warren County won the District 6, Triple A tournament championship this season.
