Pickett Co Softball Hangs 24 On Lady Blue Devils
On Friday night, the Pickett County softball team beat Jackson County 24 to 3 in five innings of play.
Lady Blue Devils starting pitcher Rachel Harrig injured her shoulder in the first inning. the wheels feel off from there according to head coach Amanda Harris.
Pickett County’s first three batters of the game reached first due to walks. The Lady Bobcats batted around in the first inning. Pickett County held a 6 to 0 lead after one.
The offensive onslaught continued as Pickett County tacked on 14 more runs. The Lady Bobcats added went three up and three down in the third inning before they added four more runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Pickett County will host Clarkrange Monday evening in Byrdstown. Jackson County will host Clay County Monday night in Gainesboro.
