Panthers Burry Eight Triples, In Home Win Over Rhea Co

Will Hecker’s three second half threes helped lead Stone Memorial to a 53 to 47 victory over Rhea County, Friday night in Crossville.

At halftime the Panthers trailed by a score of 27 to 22. Defensively Stone Memorial held Rhea County to four, third quarter points as they tied the game up at 31 after three quarters to play. A 22 point fourth quarter resulted in a win for the Panthers.

Stone Memorial hit nine of their 12 free throw attempts as Rhea County hit two of their three tires. Rhea County hit three shots from behind the three point line where Stone Memorial connected on eight shots form three.

Hunter Wattenbarger led Stone in points with 11 and Zach Boyd added 10 points.

The win brings the Panthers to 16-7 overall and 4-1 in their district. Stone Memorial travels to McMinnville Tuesday to take on Warren County.
