Offense Struggles In Lady Bulldog Loss To Cannon
The Clay County Lady Bulldogs traveled to Cannon County on Friday, but their offense struggled early and often in a 63-41 loss.
The first quarter epitomized their struggles, as they were out-scored 19-7 in the opening frame.
The second proved to be their most fruitful frame, and they trailed 28-19 at half after a putting up a 12-9 second quarter advantage.
That was the closest they would get however, as Cannon County ran away with the game in the third and won by a final score of 63-41.
As a team, Clay County shot 26% from the field and 22.2% from three.
Rachel Copass was the only Lady Bulldog to break double figures, as she put up 12 points on 4-16 shooting.
Clay County will be back on the court on Saturday, as they continue play at Cannon County.
