Monster Second Quarter Propels Pioneers To Win

After the first quarter, against Tullahoma, Friday night Warren County trailed by two points. The Pioneers drained six, three’s on their way to 26 total points in the second period.

Warren County went on the win 67-46.

Balanced scoring proved to be vital for Warren County, as Coach Chris Sullens saw four players score in double figures and 10 players score points throughout the game.

Irving Espinoza scored a team high 12 points For Warren County. All of Espinoza’s points came in the first half. Espinoza knocked down two, three’s in the second quarter.

Grant King scored 11 points for the Pioneers and D’Lano Spates and Lacedric Cox each scored 10 points each.

Warren County makes a two game swing into the northern part of UC Sports nations this week. The Pioneers travel to Overton County to take on Livingston Academy Tuesday night.

On Thursday The Pioneers travel to Byrdstown as they square off with the Pickett County Bobcats. Both girls games start at 6 P.M. with the boys game shortly after.
