Monday Twins Named To TSWA All-State First Team

Kassie and Kaylie Monday were selected to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State first team earlier this week.

Both girls are juniors and helped Lead the Lady Buffaloes to a 32-4 overall record and a 13-1 district record. Clarkrange only lost one game all season to a 1A team.

In their final game before the postponement and cancellation of the season due to COVID-19, in the state tournament against Huntingdon, Kassie shot 11 of 14 form the floor and scored 25 points.

Kaylie set a new record for steals in a state tournament game with 11. Kaylie added  in 15 points also for a double double.

The Lady Buffaloes beat Huntingdon 80 to 36 and were one of four teams left in the Single A girls basketball state tournament.
