McCallister Named Mr. Football Finalist In Class 3A

Upperman standout out athlete Donoven McCallister earned a spot among two other players as a finalist for Mr. Football in Class 3A.

Grey Carroll form Alcoa and James More form Stratford were also named finalist.

McCallister finished the season with 1232 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns on 159 attempts. Through the air McCallister finished the season 90 of 147 for 1370 yards with 11 touchdowns.  McCallister accounted for 216 total yards a game.

Defensively McCallister tallied 92 total tackles for the season with two interceptions, nine passes defended, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.

McCallister also punted for Upperman and he averaged 36.6 yards on 27 punts.

The Mr. Football Award will be awarded on December 2 at Nissan Stadium in Mashville.
