After the first quarter Gibson County leads 13 to seven over Pickett County in the quarterfinals of the State Tournament in Murfreesboro.
Abbi Bilbrey leads the Lady Bobcats with five, first quarter points. Pickett County has turned the ball over five time in the first quarter compared to only two turnovers from Gibson County.
Pickett County cut the lead down to 21 to 19 half way through the second quarter. Gibson County proceeded to go on a 10 to two run to close the half. The Lady Bobcats trail 31 to 21 at the break.
Abbi Blibrey continues to stuff the stat sheet with 10 points, three assist, and two blocks. Kyndal Ludick, Elly Smith, and Bilbrey all have two fouls so far in the first half.
Pickett County cut the deficit all the way dow to four with under a minute to play in the third quarter. However, Gibson County hit a three with under 30 seconds to push the lead back to seven. Pickett County trails 42 to 35 at the start of the fourth quarter.
Pickett County’s girls season comes to an end in the quarter finals of the State Tournament as they fall to Gibson County 61 to 54. The Lady Bobcats struggled shooting as they hit only three of their 13 shots from three.
Gibson County also owned an advantage from the free throw line as they connected on 25 of their 28 attempts and Pickett County finished 13 of their 19 tries.
Bilbrey finished finished with 19 points, three assist, and four blocks.
