LISTEN: One on One with CHS Football Head Coach Taylor Hennigan

Last Thursday, Cookeville High School hired their first football head coach after nine years under the now-retired Coach Jimmy Maynord.

Taylor Hennigan was introduced to players and media where he addressed the team, describing his experience & expectations.

Hennigan is a graduate of Cookeville High School and Tennessee Tech University, where he took part in both schools’ football programs. After earning a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science in 2013, Taylor gained coaching experience at Tennessee Tech coaching cornerbacks & nickelbacks before taking over as special team coordinator. He coached elsewhere at the college level, serving as special teams coordinator and cornerback coach at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. He also spent time at White County High School as the defensive coordinator.
