Lady Wildcats Lose Fourth Quarter Lead To Trousdale

The Monterey girls basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Trousdale County Tuesday night 68 to 66 at home in Monterey.

The game was tied at 28 at halftime and the Lady Wildcats took a 47 to 43 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Trousdale County outscored Monterey 25 to 19 in the fourth quarter. Monterey struggled at the free throw line as they only hit 10 of their 24 attempts.

Lindsey Wright scored a team high 18 points for Monterey. Faith Walker dropped in 16 points and Anna Hudson added 14 points of her own.

The loss drops Monterey’s record to 4-13 and 0-5 in district play. Monterey will host Pickett County Friday night at 6 P.M.
