Lady Wildcat Volleyball Falls Short in Quest for State Tournament

A magical season came to an end for the Livingston Academy Lady Wildcats volleyball team in Chattanooga, Thursday night. The Lady ‘Cats stormed through the regular season undefeated, but ran into some roadblocks during the postseason, including East Hamilton in the Sectional round.

After losing the opening game to the Lady Hurricanes, Livingston Academy rallied to take game two and led into the third game. East Hamilton rallied, however, to claim the third game and went on to win the fourth game as well, cementing a 3-1 Sectional victory over the Lady Wildcats, which punched East Hamilton’s ticket to the State Tournament next week.

Livingston Academy’s season ends with an overall record of 17-3. Coach Christie Jenkins spoke with Tom Duggin of UC Sports Nation about the team’s remarkable 2021 season.
