Lady Tigers Take Control In Middle Of Game Against Warren Co

The Lady Tigers of DeKalb County won on the road in McMinnville, Monday night, 50 to 46 against Warren County.

The Lady Tigers defense clamped down on Warren County in the second and third quarters as they allowed a total of 11 points over those two quarters.

The Lady Pioneers hit eight of 14 shots from the free throw line. DeKalb County owned the advantage from the line as the Lady Tigers hit 15 of their 20 attempts.

The Lady Tigers also hit three more shots from behind the three point line than Warren County did. DeKalb County connected on seven shots from deep as the Lady Pioneers hit four.

Kadee Ferrell, of DeKalb County, led all scores with 16 points. Mya Ruch added 13 and Emme Colwell dropped in 11 points.

Warren County’s Erica Cantrell scored a team high 13 points and Shelby Smart added in 11 points of her own.

The win for DeKalb County brings the Lady Tigers to .500 on the season with an overall record of 11-11, and  3-5 in their district. DeKalb County will play at Livingston Academy on Tuesday night.

With the loss Warren County falls to 2-20, 0-4 on the season. The Lady Pioneers host White County Friday night in McMinnville.
