Lady Panthers Basketball Wins Season Opener Against Maryville

The Stone Memorial girls basketball team defeated the Maryville Rebels 67-55 Tuesday night in Crossville in their season opener.

Emma Capps led the Panthers in scoring with 22 points. Annah Goss and Tessa Miller each added 12 points for Stone Memorial.

Keaton Frietag dropped nine points, Mattie Buck scored 5 points, Chloe Roark scored four points, and Katie Adkinsson scored three points to finish out the scoring for Stone Memorial.

The Lady Panthers hit 12 of 15 free throws, they also made 13 three’s against Maryville.

Stone Memorial will be back in action Saturday afternoon in Cookeville, for the Hall of Fame play day at Prescott South Elementary and at Cookeville High School.
