Lady Panthers Press On With Impressive Wins

Stone Memorial girls tennis over the last few weeks has delivered on their preseason goals.

A district championship taking down the Lady Cavs of Cookeville. A region championship defeat of a very stout Hendersonville team, that coincidentally beat Cookeville handily twice. Stone had barely defeated the Lady Cavs in the district title.

Now they stare down McMinnville in the sectional on Thursday.

They do so with a state tournament bound singles player as well.

Rachel Houston was one of four lady panthers to make the individual regions, and became the soul survivor.

According to Head Coach Dylan Nelson it is Houston;s work ethic and tenacity rubbing off on others, as well as this teams dedication to doubles play, that have pushed them this far.
