Stone Memorial’s girls basketball team beat Blackman 45 to 42 Saturday night in Murfreesboro to qualify for the State Tournament, that starts Wednesday at the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro.
The Lady Panthers drew Science Hill for their their first round game. Science Hill and (28-7) vs. Stone Memorial (29-4), will play at 10 A.M. on Wednesday morning.
Stone Memorial and Science Hill have played twice already this season with each team holding serve at their home court.
The first matchup took place in Johnson City, as the Lady Panthers lost 51 to 42 on December, 7th. Stone Memorial received a return game on January 11th, in Crossville where they beat Science Hill 64 to 40.
The next round, on Friday, would pit the Science HIll-Stone Memorial winner vs. Maryville-Whitehaven winner, at 10 A.M.
The tournament runs Wednesday-Saturday. Tickets cost $10 Wednesday-Friday and $12 on Saturday. Parking is $5.
