Lady Cavaliers Rely On Big Second Half To Put Away McMinn Co

The Lady Cavaliers basketball team outscored McMinn County 33-22 in the second half on their way to a 58-42 victory Tuesday night in Athens.

KK Graves led all scorers with 20 points. Graves only scored two points in the first half but rebounded for 18 over the third and fourth quarters.

Graves hit three three’s and 3-6 free throws in the second half.

Cassie Shope and Liv Shipman each scored eight points in the game and Emma Webb scored seven.

Cookeville hot only 11-22 free throws and connected on five three for the game.

Cookeville will take Wednesday and Thursday off from competition before they head to Cannon County for a Thanksgiving tournament on Friday and Saturday.
