Lady Cat Season Ends With Loss To Watertown

The Livingston Academy Lady Cats fell in their District Tournament First-Round game on Monday to Watertown by a final score of 38-33.

The game was a defensive battle from the jump, as both teams failed to establish any offense in the first quarter. By the time the first frame ended, Livingston held a 7-5 lead. The Lady Cats opened the second frame by scoring the first eight points to take a 15-5 lead.

This is where Watertown kicked their offense into high gear, and it started it with them scoring the final five points of the half to cut the deficit down to 15-10 at half.

Watertown then opened the third quarter by going on a 13-2 scoring run to take a six-point lead, and they never looked back as they ended the Lady Cats’ season by a final score of 38-33.

Aleah Melton led Livingston with 13 points.
