Lady Bulldog Defense Locks Down Gordonsville

The Clay County Lady Bulldogs defeated Gordonsville by a 61-26 count on Friday.

The defense was the story of the night, as Clay held Gordonsville to less than 10 points in all four quarters.

After taking a 26-14 lead into halftime, Clay took full control of the game in the third quarter when they out-scored Gordonsville 24-7.

They added to the lead by winning the fourth quarter by an 11-5 count, and it all added up to a 61-26 win for Clay County.

Katie Arms led all scorers with 18 points, while Marlee Ashlock added 11.

Clay will be back in action on Tuesday at Trousdale County.
