The Lady Buffaloes of Clarkrange won a battle of Associated Press 10 ranked teams against Stone Memorial Saturday 61 to 45, in Fentress County.
Clarkrange outscored Stone Memorial in every quarter, except the third. Neither team had a decisive advantage from the free throw line. The Lady Panthers hit eight of nine free throw attempts aainst six out of seven for Clarkrange.
The Lady Buffaloes did hold a slight advantage from behind the three point line. Clarkrange connected on nine shots from deep and Stone Memorial hit only five shots.
The Monday twins followed up impressive performances on Friday night with even better numbers on Saturday. Kassie Monday scored a game high 23 points.
Kaylie Monday followed her sister closely with 22 points of her own. Chloe Howard rounded out the double digit scorers with 10points for the Lady Buffaloes.
Tessa Miller led Stone Memorial in points with 18. Emma Capps scored only eight points for the Lady Panthers.
Clarkrange will be back in action Tuesday night in Celina against Caly County. The win improves the Lady Buffaloes record to on the season 22-2, 10-0.
The loss Saturday marks only the second loss on the season for Stone Memorial as it drops their overall record to 19-2, 3-0. The Lady Panthers look to get back on track at White County on Tuesday.
