Lady Bobcats Punch Ticket To Sectionals Against Trousdale

Pickett County’s girls basketball team beat Trousdale County in convincing fashion Monday night 64 to 50, in the semifinal game of the Region Three, 1A tournament.

The win for Pickett County secures a trip for the Lady Bobcats to sectionals Saturday night, regardless of Wednesday nights championship game result against Clarkrange.

The Lady Bobcats jumped out to a 22 to 10 first quarter advantage and controlled the game firmly, from that point forward.

Pickett County had a chance to push the lead to a much larger margin throughout the game but they only hit 17 of their 28 free throw attempts.

The Lady Bobcats stayed in their full court pressure for most of the night which proved difficult for Trousdale County to handle, despite several key Pickett County players in foul trouble for the majority of the game.

Kyndal Ludick led Pickett County in points with 23 on the night. Chloe Burton dropped in 18 big points of her own.

Pickett County will take on Clarkrange, for the fourth time this season, Wednesday night in Livingston at 7 P.M. A win would mean a home section game at 7 P.M. for the Lady Bobcats.
