Lady Bees Off to 6-0 Start; Open District Play Friday vs. White Co.

Strong starts to the season have been a regular occurrence during Dana McWilliams tenure as Upperman Lady Bees’ head basketball, and this year is no exception. After a 71-49 rout of Knoxville Webb on Tuesday, the UHS ladies are off to a 6-0 start to the season, the Lady Bees’ fourth such start in the past six seasons. And, as per the usual, the schedule has been challenging leading up to this Friday night’s District 7-3A opener in Baxter against White County. The game will match the two teams most projected the win the new district at season’s end.

Coach McWilliams joined UC Sports Nation this week to discuss early season challenges and Friday night’s game, which will also feature a jersey retirement ceremony for former Lady Bee, Reagan Hurst.
