Lady Bees Fall Short Against Macon Co In District Championship

The Upperman Lady Bees had their third crack against Macon County this year on Monday, but fell short of the District Championship by a final score of 58-44.

Macon County scorched the nets from the word jump, as they made seven threes in the first quarter to take a 23-12 lead. That was the closest Upperman got, as the Tigerettes completed a perfect run through the district regular season and tournament with a 58-44 win.

Reagan Hurst led the Lady Bees with 14 points, while Aiyana Levy scored 11 points. Brooklyn Crouch added 10 of her own.

Jalynn Gregory led all scorers with 16 points, and Miss Basketball Finalist Keeley Carter scored 13 points. Abby Shoulders scored 10 points.
