Lady Bees Face Westview Basketball Friday In State Semifinals

Upperman (29-6, 12-2) girls basketball team will take on District 13’s regular and post season champion and Region Seven, 2A champion Westview (31-3, 10-0), on Friday afternoon at 1:15 in Murfreesboro.

Upperman and Westview have zero common opponents this season. Westview beat Grainger 43 to 38 in Wednesday’s quarterfinal matchup. Upperman head coach Dana McWilliams did not know in her post game press conference yesterday, who the Lady Bees would face in Friday’s semifinal matchup.

” We are feeling great. Te be in the final four, what an accomplishment for this group,” McWilliams said. “You can always count on Grainger and Westview to be some of the teams left. Both are very good programs. They are (at state) all the time. If you make a state tournament you’re most likely going to see one of the. We most definitely have some work to do. “
