LA Girls Basketball Wins Opener Agains Blue Devils

The Livingston Academy girls basketball team pulled out a win in their season opener against Jackson County, 56-22 in both teams season openers.

Livingston Academy’s Keaton Webb led all scorers with 12 points. Teammate Hannah Hammons added 11 points.

Anna Beth Colson hit five free throws on her way to nine points. Aleah Melton scored all six of her points in the first half and Hannah Westmoreland scored all five of her points in the third quarter.

Suzana Hayes scored four points and Emily Gean knocked down a a three in the third for her lone basket. Hailey Cronk and Abby Reeder each scored one point.

For the Blue Devils Ericka Davidson, Abigail Poston, and Rylee Anderson each scored four points. Emma Crockett, Lilly Chaffin, Emma Chaffin, Riley Thomas, and Jacklyn Agee all scored two points.

Livingston will play again Saturday in Hall of Fame play day. The Lady Blue Devils play next Tuesday at Watertown at 6 P.M.
